McDonald’s will sell fried sticks of dough early in February 2019. The new breakfast item will hit the chain’s menu at participating locations nationwide for a limited-time only.
McDonald’s new “Donut Sticks” are very similar to Dunkin’s Donuts Fries, according to internal company documents that somehow magically landed on Business Insider’s hands.
Delicious dough sticks fried golden to perfection, coated with cinnamon sugar, and also crisp on every bite. The company describes them as “light and crunchy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside,” according to the product’s description.
The recommended price is now available too. Half a dozen or 6 Donut Sticks will cost $1.29, and a dozen will cost $2.39.
There’s also a deal available which includes 6 Donut Sticks and a small coffee and only costs $1.99.
When asked about McDonald’s new menu item, Dunkin’ told CNBC it didn’t come as a surprise to them. Apparently, they were expecting competitors to imitate their delicious Donuts Fries given their huge popularity with customers.
